It costs just £4.99 for two years. Depending on the deal you can more than recoup this money in your first transaction – for example you can get £4 off cinema tickets for each member of your family.

Given how hard our healthcare, military and emergency staff work in often extremely difficult circumstances it’s great to see so many big name companies offering them a well-earned thank you!

A few members of my family hold Blue Light Cards and the only downside they have ever experienced is forgetting to check whether they can use their card to nab a discount!

Lots of places will offer a discount in exchange for you showing your Blue Light Card but it is dependent on the card holder to follow the terms and conditions.

It definitely pays to check when you’re planning to make a purchase whether your card will unlock discounts.
