Tesco Toy Sale Dates 2022

You can get awesome toys for up to half-price in the Tesco toy sale.

This is a brilliant chance to stock up on toys for Christmas and birthdays with genuine discounts.

Tesco toy sale

As Christmas rapidly approaches Tesco has launched a month-long sale on selected toys, running until November 2, 2022.

It covers huge brands include LEGO, Barbie, Disney, Peppa Pig, VTech, Paw Patrol, Hot Wheels, Pokemon, DC Batman, Marvel Avengers, Squishmallow, Sylvanian Families, Squishmallow, Funkopop, and Glitzeez.

If you can get organised with what your kids may want for Christmas ahead of time then this is a great chance to make some real savings.

You can find offers in store and online at the Tesco website.

Plus when you spend you will earn Clubcard points.

Taking advantage of these deals is a great way of saving money on Christmas and birthdays.

I’ve found myself with around two birthday parties to buy gifts for per month, which really adds up over time! By using deals like this I can save £100+ a year.

Tesco Toy Sale Dates

Tesco holds two big toy sales featuring discounts of between 40 and 50 per cent every year.

These typically take place in spring – coinciding with the Easter  school holidays – and in the approach to Christmas – usually in October.

They tend to last around 30 days.

You can get offers in store as well as online – but you need a Clubcard to get the price!

Here are the key dates:

  • Current sale – October 3 to November 2, 2022

We expect future Tesco toy sales in 2023 to take place around these dates:

  • Monday March 20 to Thursday April 20, 2023
  • Monday October 2 to Wednesday November 1, 2023

How to access the Tesco Toy Sale

It’s important to note that you need a Tesco Clubcard in order to get the sale prices. People without a Tesco Clubcard will not get the discount.

So if you’re not already signed up to the loyalty scheme, get on board.

As well as being able to take advantage of the toy sales, you will also get access to regular Tesco Clubcard discounts.

You earn points – with one point for every £1 spent – which you can swap for shopping vouchers. You’ll get a £1.50 voucher for every 150 points you earn.

Clubcard is also partnered up with other brands where you can spend your points, such as Disney+, Pizza Express, hotels.com and RAC.

Tips for the Tesco Toy Sale

Double check prices elsewhere

Many of the Tesco offers in the toy sale are genuinely great deals.

However if you take a look around at the prices elsewhere you may find some deals are actually not that great.

In some cases you can find the toy even cheaper than the Tesco sale price at other shops, like Amazon or Argos.

So before you buy, take a quick look online at what other retailers are selling the product for, just to make sure you have got the best price possible. This is an important frugal tip to follow with any purchase!

You can use Google to check the prices, or comparison sites like Price Spy.

Take advantage of the prices promptly

Certain items may sell out during the sale.

So if you see something you need, and have checked the price is a genuine saving, then snap it up while you can.

Save money on delivery

It may work out cheaper to get your toys in store, rather than delivery from online shopping as the cost of delivery starts at £2.50

If you already are signed up to the Tesco Delivery Saver Plan you will get click and collect and deliveries for free as part of that.

Take advantage of cashback

You can make savings on top of savings if you use cashback sites when doing your shopping.

If you do decide to do your shopping online, you can get back 7% of your spend on toys with TopCashback.

It’s a good idea to use sites like TopCashback when doing all of your online shopping, as it’s free to set up an account and to use it.

Final thoughts on saving with the Tesco toy sale

I hope you find some useful bargains in the Tesco sale!

Remember if you miss out on this one, or don’t see anything you need, to keep an eye out for offers elsewhere.

Argos often runs 2-for-1 deals on toys, which I take advantage of to stock up on toys for parties that the kids get invited to. And when shopping there I also get money back through my Airtime Rewards account.

And Sainsbury’s also holds regular toy sales on its range of products, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for that as well.
