Supermarket Wine Offers: 2023 Dates For 25% Off Deals

Want to know when to find the best supermarket wine deals at Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s?

Supermarkets regularly hold sales events in their wine aisle that add up to big savings for you – particularly if you’re prepared to buy your wine and prosecco in bulk! 

CURRENT DEAL: Tesco is now running its 25% off when you buy six or more bottles of wine until December 17. You must scan your Clubcard at checkout to get the deal!

I often use the Tesco deal – offering 25% off when you buy six bottles of wine – to stock up on our favourite Oxford Landing Sauvignon Blanc. 

The deals tend to be spread out over the course of the year so it’s a good idea to check out when your local supermarket’s next wine deal is taking place so you can plan to take full advantage of the offer.

Most of the big UK supermarkets have wine deals that take place at various times of the year. 

These will be promoted in store and on the website – but I’ve got the dates for when you can expect supermarket deals to run this year based on previous year’s events. Keep reading! 

Supermarkets that offer wine deals are: 

• Aldi – 25% off some bottles of wine
• Asda – 25% off 6 bottles of wine
• Morrisons – Buy 2 get 1 free 
• Sainsbury’s – 25% off 6 bottles of wine
• Tesco – 25% off 6 bottles of wine 
• Waitrose – 25% off 6 bottles of wine

Supermarket wine deals 2023

Whether you’ve got a party coming up or you just want to save money on your favourite drink, it’s such a good idea to take advantage of these deals. All you need to do is decide what you’ll be raising a toast to!

The supermarkets tend to time their sales to coincide with big holidays, such as Easter and Bank Holiday weekends.

The Christmas sales tend to be at the start of December though, so remember to stock up for Christmas and New Year early to take advantage of the money off deals. 

Tesco 25% off multi-buy bottles of wine dates 

Tesco runs its popular 25% off 6 or more bottles of wine offer regularly throughout the year. You can purchase a maximum of 36 bottles under this offer, but you need a Clubcard to get the discount.

And it alternates this offer with a 25% off when you buy three or more bottles of its own Tesco Finest wine range.

I always use the Tesco 25% off six bottles of wine deal to stock up on my favourite wine!

Tesco tends to run its wine deal around Bank Holiday weekends and special holidays such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas.

You need to present your Clubcard at checkout to qualify for the offer. I recommend downloading the app and that way you’ll never leave your card at home!  

The Tesco wine offer includes wine, Champagne and fizz costing a minimum price of £5 in England and Northern Ireland and £7 in Wales. Always double check the terms and conditions before heading to the checkout!

How long does the 25% off wine offer run at Tesco?

The offer tends to last less than week – roughly six days each time. Keep an eye out for the latest dates in store, using the above dates as a guide!

Asda 25% off six bottles of wine dates 

Asda regularly knocks 25% off the price of six bottles of wine throughout the year. 

The deal allows you to mix and match the bottles you pick and the deal applies to any bottle starting at £4.75.

Asda deals take place during busy holiday periods such as Bank Holiday weekends, Easter, Halloween and Christmas. 

It’s particularly worth planning for the early December deal, so that you stock up on the wine you need before Christmas and New Year early to get the very best prices. 

If you want to plan ahead check the list of previous dates to give you an idea of when the next offers will be coming up. The Asda wine off lasts for just over a week so get in there quick to bag the bargains.

Morrisons wine deal 2023

Morrisons has been running a buy 3 save 25% off its Morrisons The Best range. This is handy if you don’t have the space for – or want to buy – six bottles of wine to use the offers from similar supermarkets.

The current offer is running until March 15 2022.

Last year in June Morrisons did run a buy six bottles and get 25% off deal. Keep your eyes open to see if they will run the same again in 2022.

Sainsbury’s 25% off 6 bottles of wine dates 

You can snag 25% off when you buy six or more bottles of wine at Sainsbury’s. This excludes bottles 200ml and under and bottles that cost less than £5 in England or £7 in Wales. 

Remember to present your Nectar card so that you can collect points. And if you use Jam Doughnut to pay for your Sainsbury’s shopping you get cashback too!

You cannot get this offer at smaller Sainsbury’s stores, known as Sainsbury’s Locals, or in Scotland branches. 

The offer is good to a maximum purchase of 36 bottles. It’s available in store and online, with delivery costs started at £1.

Sainsbury’s wine deal dates 2023

M&S wine deal

Marks and Spencer has run similar 25% off six or more bottles of wine deals in the past. 

However it has not run any of these offers since 2019. It does offer occasional discount promotions on its wines, so keep an eye out for those.  

Waitrose 25% off 6 bottles of wine dates 

Waitrose supermarket often has 25% off single bottles of wine discounts however it also sometimes runs a 25% off deal if you buy six or more bottles. 

The wine needs to be over £5 per bottle in order to qualify for the deal (or £7 and above in Wales). However you can mix and match the wine plus it includes expensive products such as Champagne. 

The offer is not available in store in Scottish branches or in petrol stations with a Waitrose shop.

Aldi wine deal

Aldi doesn’t offer a 25% off six bottles of wine deal but does occasionally drop the price of some popular wines by 25% at certain times of year.  

The supermarket also offers bundles of alcohol – such as six bottles of red or white or a collection of summer drinks for example.

Other ways to save money on wine 

Shop smart 

If you have a favourite brand of wine then find the most competitive price before using a deal. That may mean checking out a different supermarket to see if you can find it cheaper. 

Plus be open to trying different wines. Own brand wines can taste just as good and work out a lot cheaper.

Scan your receipts 

There are some cool money-making apps that will pay you for scanning copies of your receipts. 

Apps such as HuYu will allow you to earn points for taking photos of your supermarket receipts and uploading those to the app. 

Take advantage of cash back 

Don’t forget if you’re doing an online shop to do it through a cash back site! 

You can get money back on your shop at Asda, Tesco and Morrisons with Top Cashback. 

You can also use Jam Doughnut to buy vouchers for some of the big supermarkets – such as Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and M&S – and receive cashback.

Plus Airtime Rewards did at one stage offer bonuses for shoppers at Morrisons and Waitrose. These programmes are currently paused but they will hopefully return! Airtime Rewards gives you money off towards your phone bill for spending with partners in the scheme on your normal bank card.
